Six Mix is a general entertainment digital television channel owned by Dreamer's TV and CoastPark Plc. The channel shows a variety of programming, which includes imports by AVault, alongside productions from various other Network Six production divisions. Between the hours of 7AM and 6PM, the channel broadcasts children's programming under the brand Six Club, and branded as Six Mix at all other hours.
History
Six Mix launched under the name Spiral at 6AM, 1 May 2006, alongside other Network Six digital channels, including Six Sport Channel and Six News Channel, and operated by a consortium of Emoa Television and Dreamer's TV. Its original identity was themed around the colours blue, grey and silver, with as less on-screen logos as possible.
It re-launched as Six Mix in July 2006 to emphasise the Six brand which was used on all other Network Six digital channels, however it lost its daytime identity to become Six Club, which is a children's programming strand. In addition to the main two, another brand named Powerstation is used with music programming although at all times the channel legally remains under the name Six Mix. The previous Spiral idents were slightly tweaked to include the new name, but now also heavily feature block graphics overlaid over the original ones.
Emoa Television pulled out its interests in the channel on 30 June 2007 whereby its 50% share was sold to CoastPark Plc, however Emoa intends for some of its programmes to remain on the Six Mix schedule. Emoa's broadcast arm Neptune Television is currently continuing to broadcast the channel on behalf of CoastPark Plc.
